Meet Our Veterinarian
Amber R. Horn, DVM – Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Amber Horn graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2003 with her DVM degree. She worked with Dr. Yolanda Burton in Stilwell for one year before starting her own veterinary clinic in 2004.
Dr. Horn is married to Rick. They have 5 children & 15 grandchildren. Three of their children & several grandchildren help run Lakeside Veterinary Services. It is definitely a family business.
When Dr. Horn is not working, she spends her time learning & playing with her grandchildren, going to Arts & Crafts shows, gardening, raising pygmy goats, caring for their small family farm & dog training with her companions “Zip” a Belgian Tervuren & “Ace” her Whippet. Her first Belgian Tervuren “Flash” is the inspiration for the Lakeside Veterinary Logo.
Meet Our Staff
Michelle Laymon
Michelle Laymon is the oldest daughter & has worked here since 2005. She is married to Dean and has five children and three grandchildren.
She is the Groomer & Veterinary Assistant. Michelle is our inventory manager. She is also a State Licensed Wildlife rehabilitator taking in orphaned, abandoned & injured wildlife. If you find wildlife that is in need of help, please contact our office, or her wildlife Facebook page.
Alexis Pavey
Alexis is the daughter of Nicole and is Dr. Horns 4th Grandchild. Alexis attended three years at Northeastern State University majoring in Biology, and now is enrolled in Veterinary Technician school to become a Licensed and Registered Veterinary Technician. Alexis has grown up working in our clinic and now is a part time employee. When you do not see Alexis at our clinic, She is working at an Animal Urgent Care in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Alexis is currently a veterinary assistant and is our Social Media Creator and Manager. She has a Ragdoll kitty named Zuma, and a Shiba Inu named Meeko.
Nicole
Nicole is Dr. Horn’s second daughter and is our Practice Manager. Nicole is with Jason and they have six kids. When Nicole is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family on her mini farm tending to her flock of chickens and small herd of cows. 
Kalin
Kalin is Dr. Horn’s third daughter and has worked at Lakeside Veterinary since 2006. Kalin is a certified veterinary assistant and has an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Biology. She is married to her husband Kyle, and they have two sons, Preston and Levi. When Kalin is not at work she is attending her sons’ sports events and spending time with her family.
